Where to go in the middle of the night when you are super hungry? Denny's comes to mind, but this time the experience was unbelievably bad! It took 53 minutes for the food to arrive! And the salmon was by far the worst I have ever tasted in a restaurant. Microwaved, overcooked and tasteless even on the second attempt. The sides, broccoli and mashed potatoes, were microwaved and overcooked as well and tasted weird. The greens on the salad were rotten. The pancakes that my friend ordered were undercooked and the hash browns tasted sour. We barely touched our food since it was inedible. There was no manager on duty to help and there was zero effort from the wait staff to make things better. No wonder noone else was dining there. I shall not return.

This place was horrendous it should be closed down for the lack of flavor and seasoning. If you are looking for pet food stop by.

Very horrible service, manager stood in front of us didn't acknowledge us for 10 min so we walked out!

I found myself wanting breakfast after watching a movie about cooking and omelets. Problem: It's night out and already way past dinner but damnit I want breakfast now! Solution: Denny's. I ended up having a chocolate peanut butter milkshake and chocolate peanut butter pancakes. Both items seem to be new to the menu and they were good. I'm not gonna say the food is amazing cause there are moments where the sauce was heavy and the pancake was dry but in the end it does it's job.

I walked past this Denny's at least 100 times on my way between work and my parking lot. Finally decided to stop in. Exterior is very plain, and the interior isn't spectacular, but breakfast here is excellent. This Denny's serves grits the way they are meant to - in a large bowl with butter. Love the grits. Everything here is done right; eggs, bacon, pancakes. Don't let the simple decor deter you. Service has always been great; fast and friendly. Pay at the register on your way out.

I have been coming to this specific location throughout the years. I must say that I have been coming here more often within the past few months and if you want exceptional service, request a lovely server named Marisol. She is the cutest little thing and is extremely quick. She takes sincere pride in providing great customer service and that is always refreshing when going out to eat. As an UM alumna, I highly recommend this location where I don't feel it's always packed and service is wonderful for a good, hearty breakfast. In regards to food, I usually go with the slams: Create your own, Belgian, etc... Brings a little bit of everything for a nice price. Value is key for me. Big shoutout to UM Denny's, keep it up =)

To start I really am not a Breakfast fan. Every so often I will eat a breakfast in hopes it will be good. Come on eggs, hasbrowns, sausage links and toast. How hard could that be to screw up? Well they did. Honestly one of the worst breakfast ever. We got seated right away and of course I started feeling sick. Why? Like Red Lobster they have carpet throughout their dining area. Carpet in a heavy traffic restaurant equals disgusting! Picture food spills, drinks, guest stomping all over with dirty shoes. Oh yuk, yuk and the smell well it is horrible. I knew at this point we had made a mistake coming here. Go with the flow...ok so I did. Our server was rude when she came with our food she literally threw them in front of us and walked away. Nothing else? Oh yeah no worries I will slurp down this food like an animal in which she treated us like. Eggs are eggs no biggie, my toast tasted old like the bread was stale. The hasbrowns had no flavor and were quite dry. And the worst part for me were the sausage links. I do really like sausage links and was excited to eat some. No exaggeration here these two sausage links were so tiny. I held it up, looked at my husband and said really, WTH. They were so skinny and short. Ridiculous I much prefer big and long. And they had no flavor at all. Also it is NOT like their breakfast is cheap either. Our bill for two people with tip was $29...whatever, so not worth it. Conclusion........I would only visit this establishment after a very long night of drinking...maybe!

This Denny's has been my go-to place since my early goth days when I used to come here to change and grab a bite after hitting the club (over 13 years ago, gosh I feel old!), and now, occasionally after an outing with a friend or going to a late movie and finding we actually DO want dinner or crave an ice cream, we will always end up gravitating to this location. The service is efficient and friendly, and the place seems clean. Although every Denny's has shady characters, except for the last time I visited, where 2 girls and a guy were threatening to beat each other and go (BACK) to jail as a result while causing a big scene, it's had less shady characters than other locations, like the North Miami or Midtown one. The parking lot is small, but there's also street parking and I have never seen it completely full on the many times I have been. I am glad they have started serving healthier options for those trying to lose weight, so now I can still come by on a late night and find something not TOO bad for my health, rather than going home hungry, or eating a greasy pizza at one of the nearby pizza joints that is open late.

It's fast food. It tastes a little bit greasy, and you may get a little bit of heartburn afterwards. However, what knocks it down to a measly 2 stars is that my friend ordered brunch here, and they completely screwed her orders. They forgot to add chocolate chips to her chocolate chip pancakes, so her food came 20 minutes later after my other friend and I finished. They did make it up to her though by giving her food for free but still the service was unsatisfactory.

  • Will S.

Really hit or miss. The food is pretty decent, exactly what you'd expect from a chain diner. The service, however, is the X-factor; sometimes the waitstaff get my order right and get it to me quickly, other times I'm forgotten about and the food I'm served only vaguely resembles what I ordered. Not a great place, but not at all a bad place for a decent meal.

  • Michael S.

What can you say, it's a Denny's. The late night breakfast was good and the waitress was nice. The other occupants of the room were strange.

So you've just attended an infamous Yelp pub crawl and a few of you are hungry. Oh, and it's 4:30 a.m. and very few places are open. What to do, what to do?? Ah, yes...That old "we serve breakfast 24/7" standby, Denny's. We stopped here, were told to sit anywhere we wanted to within a particular section and the waitress was there almost immediately. Within about 40 minutes we had our food ordered and delivered, had eaten, ordered dessert and devoured that as well and were ready to be on our way to slumber land. Oh, did I mention the prices weren't bad, either? 1 Santa Fe Skillet, 1 Grand Slam, 1 Pancake Puppy Sundae and the total price was $10 and change for both of our meals and dessert combined. Not bad!

  • Yari C.

The staff takes forever to get your order ready, I've been here multiple times and yet it doesn't change. Then the food takes around 45min and you get the appetizer in about 35min. The mangers really don't seem to care and the employees don't have answers why the food is taking so long. Don't recommend it

  • Kristen H.

Wow, really??? I went here on a Friday night after 2AM and there were people there, but it was far from packed. Guess how long my friends waited for an order of nachos and a shake and a plate of chicken tenders and fries? It had to be an hour and a half. My friend told me he always had to wait hours at this location, but I forgot about the one on the Mile. Oopsies! Anway, on top of the ridiculous wait, the waiter was high. It was funny, too, because we noticed it right off. He actually took our order then came back 15 minutes later and goes "What kind of shake was that again?" By that time, the shake should've long been on the table. Take my advice, go to the Miracle Mile one if you don't have all night to wait

    (1)
  • Yulia K.

The worst place ever! There are only 3 tables with people and we waited 20 min for our hamburgers. And mine came all cold and i asked with veggie. My husband had to go and ask for the veggies-5 carrots and 4 slices of cucumbers. They walk slowly. The menu is not complete they are rude also

They serve beer. I prefer this Dennys over others in the area because there is plenty of free parking. The downside is they are understaffed and slow, I don't mind because of the parking. The food is always on par for Dennys.

Is used to be my go to Denny's in Miami. But, in the last few months it began to suck big time! Understaffed and very slow! I went two times, in different weeks and the same issue. Took forever to be seated, took forever to get the menus... My friend and I just decided to walk out on both visits. The owner/manager needs to get his act straight and pay attention to the crappy service!

I've found myself dining at this Denny's a few times this past month and after my last visit at 8 in the morning after the best New Years Eve of my life, I realized that this Denny's does the deed. And by that I mean that it provides me with greasy diner food in a crackhead friendly environment at wee hours in the morning, when I've just finished some intense partying. The service might not be the best, but I wouldn't enjoy my job too much either if I had to come serve intoxicated people whilst I'm sober. Their OJ is really good and their omelets and scrambles are great for aiding in the digestion of whatever is in your system. The prices are alright for what they offer, I wouldn't mind it if they dropped their prices a couple of bucks. Do not be fooled though, you wont catch me dead eating at this place during the day time.

  • Jocelyn P.

This is one of the only places open 24 hours in Coral Gables and it gets packed after 1 am by all sorts and that is pretty funny to see in itself. The staff here is super friendly and you can tell its mostly supported by traffic from UM students by the UM fan gear and photos all over the place. The food is good for what it is and the staff is always nice at all hours so that's a rarity down here. Don't forget to get the UM discount if you have a Cane Card, and if you don't know what that is then don't worry about it.

Yeah, so, I found myself at this place in the middle of the night after flying in from out of the country on a mega-delayed flight. There was nothing open in sight, and I was starving! So, the food is what you expect from a Denny's. Cheap, greasy, filling comfort food. Why waste time talking about that, when you can talk about the experience. First of all, there is easy parking. Second, there are cameras on your car, so when you show up at 3 am, you know there is some monitoring of the vehicle. Service is pretty quick, and attentive. I can't remember who it was, but she just seemed to be there when I needed her and away when I wanted to be alone. The coffee was honestly pretty good, too, which makes this place earn plus points considering the abysmal quality of coffee I've subjected myself to at other chain diners. Overall, this is a good option when needed, even if all you need is to satisfy a guilty pleasure.

In the mood for a good plastic breakfast, yes! 11 am on a weekday so practically no customers ie, good service & too much AC Over medium eggs = over medium eggs (wow!) Feeling brave: coffee, surprisingly ept. Tea was what tea will be at its bare minimum Feeling even braver: bacon & avocado burrito, awesome, ordered another to take out for slugabed stepson Cashing out: painless, o joy!

Denny's is God's gift to hungover college students. On the weekends, usually around noon, this location is teeming with UM-ers struggling to stand up straight, and jonesing for that hit of grease to cure their alcohol-induced stupor. And boy, did Denny's save my ass when I was one of those students! Not that I don't need grease to save my hungover self from death by alcohol-poisoning, but unfortunately, there's no Denny's within a safe driving distance. With the abundance of college kids, there can be a wait for a table - but if you can stand it, do it - the $5.99 grand slam is worth it, for sure.

It is where you go if you are really confused about what is food! Lots of grease and is great after the bar, when you don't care if it is good for you.

This place serves lunch, dinner, and breakfast.( not brunch )The prices are pretty reasonable. In addition, i came here for lunch and it was great : ). I tried the chicken strips and this was tasty. Although this was fried, and not the most healthiest item on the menu i was craving something with fat. Anyways, the staff was friendly & polite. I left a happy customer : ).

Listen, Denny's has its role to play, so I won't be too hard on it, but unless it is 2 a.m. and you are trying to sober up before heading home, you probably shouldn't be there.

  • Liz T.

god i hate that i'm giving denny's three stars right now... but man, did this place saved my ass on numerous occasions. it's right across from UM, so there's usually a ton of college kids in there. i won't give all the incriminating details, but they earned 3 stars for the fact they are open in the uber early morning hours, let you stay for excessive amounts of time, and always serve breakfast.
